Bush is Urged to Confront Jordan's King on Evangelicals' Expulsions

WASHINGTON-President Bush is being urged to confront Jordan's King Abdullah about his country's expulsion of dozens of evangelical Christians when the two leaders meet at the White House on Tuesday.Jordan's foreign minister acknowledged last month that the predominantly Muslim nation had expelled Americans and other foreign Christians for alleged proselytizing. The expulsions reportedly involved pastors, missionaries and students at Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary. The Reverend Keith Roderick of Christian Solidarity International says President Bush should "highlight the issue of the deportation"with King Abdullah.Roderick says the king should be told there could be "repercussions" from American evangelicals who don't wish to visit or invest in a country that persecutes their fellow believers.
As in the days of Noah....
