Millions of Chinese viewers can now receive life-changing Christian programming following one of the greatest breakthrough miracles in GOD TV's distribution since the network launched 13 years ago.For the past four years global Christian broadcaster, GOD TV has been slowly making inroads into the Far East with daily broadcasts in Hong Kong, but now, in an unprecedented development, the whole of Greater China can access GOD TV 24-hours-a-day.This follows the launch of GOD TV's dedicated Greater China service on 16 October 2008, which is broadcast directly from Jerusalem onto two new satellites for GOD TV - providing the entire Far East region with Christian programming that is packaged specifically for Chinese viewers and their time zone. The two new satellites are Agila 2 which is among the most popular in the region, proving direct to home (DTH) access to millions of viewers and the IS-4 satellite which has a very wide footprint across the Far East. Through the powerful combination of these two satellites GOD TV is now available across the whole of Far East Asia including Mainland China, Vietnam and Korea and as far away as The Philippines and Japan
."In 2004 we became the first English language Christian broadcaster in Hong Kong with a growing Chinese viewership, but we have always wanted to do so much more in this region," said GOD TV founder and chief executive, Rory Alec.
"Now, God has opened up Greater China to us - a door of utterance which is literally unprecedented and which we believe is going to be one of the most significant outreaches in our history as we reach millions of new viewers." "For years we've waited for this, prayed for this... and now the dream God seeded in our hearts, and in so many of our partner's hearts, is becoming a reality," said GOD TV co-founder and director of television, Wendy Alec.
"A dream that will enable millions of new viewers in a region that has been closed to broadcasting the Gospel for generations - to receive Christian television with a radical new prophetic voice."
