Judge Rules in Favor of Religious Speech

A federal judge has decided in favor of a Wisconsin man who was threatened with arrest for distributing Christian literature. The judgment came after the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) challenged a city ordinance that restricted the Michael Foht's constitutional right to free speech.“Christians shouldn’t be penalized for expressing their beliefs,” ADF Senior Counsel Nate Kellum said.“Exercising your First Amendment rights is not a crime. The ordinance was unconstitutional for that reason, so we are pleased to reach this agreement for the benefit of all residents who value their free speech rights.”
