Fires Damage 2 Denver Churches; Suspect Detained

DENVER-Authorities say two Denver churches were badly burned, and a man suspected of starting the blazes has been detained.Police say the man was carrying a gas can nearby the early morning fires on Wednesday. Fire Department spokesman Lt. Phil Champagne says the man is a suspect.Authorities haven't released his name. The fires were reported at Rocky Mountain Miracle Center about 3:30 a.m. and at The Church In Denver around two hours later. They are about two blocks apart.No injuries were reported but Champagne says both churches suffered extensive damage. He says the department is investigating.
